Action Figure Collecting Can Make Cash-crycry

UnCategorized I have been collecting action figures for a very long time and must warn you about the addiction that is possible from this form of collecting. I will not sit here and tell you that collecting action figures will result in an early retirement for you when you cash you collection in, but it is possible to make a little bit of money from this type of investment. There are many things that an action figure collector should do to maintain his or her collection. The most important thing that should be done is to protect your collection. Many manufacturers create action figure protectors; which come in plastic or a slew of other materials. These are perfect for storing your figures but a few other tips should be adhered to. Just because you have placed your action figures in a protective case does not make them immune to damage or degradation due to a variety of factors including the most damaging factor, and that is time. You should try to store your action figures in a room temperature environment that is relatively dry. Condensation, which can be invisible to the eye, is one of the most damaging effects that can depreciate the value of an action figure over time. To be blunt, try to store your figures in a cool and dry place. Another important issue for long term storage of action figures is keeping them from banging and bumping into anything and that includes the inside of any hard case or box that you may store them in. Believe it or not, one of the best materials for storing action figures is toilet paper. It protects the figure from banging around and it is very porous preventing much condensation and humidity from being trapped against the figure and deforming the paint. Another thing that I like to do is to order two or three of the action figures that I want to collect. The reason for this is two-fold. First, I want to store two figures for the long term due to the chance that one of them may become damaged over time while sitting in storage. Often times, I purchase a third action figure and this is to make my second part of the reason that I am explaining. I want to have one to display, photograph and simply play with. Catalog your action figures. I always write down information, and nowadays store it on my computer, about my collection and where I have stored it. I even number the larger container that I have placed my figures in so that I can find them quickly should I need to get to them. I also photograph all of my figures as I go and scan them into my computer as well. This allows me to browse through my collection without having to repeatedly open and handle them. Also, I can package my computer file up nicely and send it to different people that may be interested in purchasing part or even all of my collection. This is very handy and I encourage you to do it. Collecting action figures can be a lot of fun and going back through them in the future even better if you care for them properly. About the Author: 相关的主题文章:
